Apple Snack for Kids Virtual Book Club Activity
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be sharing book related activities for the popular Virtual Book Club for Kids! Each week several bloggers will be sharing activities based on a specific book. The activities are for ages 2-5 but many activities will also be fun for older kids because we know they love books too! Join the Virtual Book Club for Kids Facebook Group to find all our activities in one place and to see a weekly schedule so you can plan to visit the library or buy that week’s book online.
Ten Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss
Apple Snack for Kids
Today I’m sharing an easy caramel-apple snack for kids. This snack is perfect for an evening treat during storytime or as an afterschool snack. Pack it in you child’s school lunch during apple week at school!
Ingredients:
1/2 Green Apple
1 T. Kraft Caramel Bits
Directions:
- Chop the apple in to small pieces.
- Add Kraft Caramel Bits to the apple pieces
- Microwave for 45 seconds
Serve warm in a bowl after reading this week’s story, Ten Apples Up on Top.
For School Lunches:
Follow steps one and two, but don’t microwave. Pack in a sealed container and add to your child’s lunchbox for a sweet and tart treat at lunchtime.
