DIY Gingerbread House with Bling

This little gingerbread house made from a wooden birdhouse is as cute as it gets! Add a little glam to your holiday decor by making a couple of these diy gingerbread houses and placing them on a table with a snow blanket! I’ve also created a similar gingerbread house without the bling.

  1. Gingerbread houses are a wonderful tradition for children at Christmas. Depending on the size of the bird house you could make several of these for a Christmas tree.

  2. I got a chuckle out of this – it is my kind of gingerbread house – a little bling makes for a perfect touch of whimsey – and this is so easy, too. I’d love to try it!

  3. I would use this as a real bird house. There’s a bird out there looking for that special house with bling. Very cute.

  4. This is a great, waste-free idea – instead of buying a gingerhouse year after year, you can keep the same one! Smart!

  5. These look good enough to eat! But this might pose a problem if the rum punch and eggnog get a little out of hand…
Thanks for the creative decoration idea!

  6. This is a great idea for those who don’t like gingerbread/don’t want to eat or waste their little house. Very cute!

  7. So creative! I would never have thought of using a birdhouse even though I have a variety of birds on my tree.

  8. I will definitely make a blingy gingerbread house when there’s no risk of kiddos eating the rhinestones but I love yours! Our gingerbread houses get eaten, not even a crumb left. 🙂

  9. My daughter actually did this same type of idea a few years ago! I told her she could put whatever she wanted on the gingerbread house so she glued on stickers & gems & sparkly snowflakes. We never eat them anyway so it was fine!
